Bay Area Enthusiasts Launch Generative AI Consortium to Drive Innovation and Education

The Bay Area's tech scene is buzzing with the launch of the Generative AI Consortium by the International Consortium for Artifical Intelligence. This new group aims to drive innovation, collaboration, education, and training in Generative AI.

Mission and Goals: The consortium focuses on advancing AI research, developing new applications, and fostering a strong community of AI professionals. It aims to promote education and awareness about Generative AI through resources, workshops, and training programs.
Ethical Development and Applications: The group advocates for ethical AI development and explores practical uses of Generative AI in healthcare, finance, entertainment, and more. They aim to demonstrate AI's potential to solve real-world problems.
Support and Mentorship: The consortium offers support and mentorship to emerging talents and startups in AI, helping to nurture the next generation of AI innovators.
Leadership: Leading the consortium are President Arivoli Tirouvingadame, Senior Architect/Director with experience at GenenTech and Oracle; Secretary John Basmadjian, Sr. Director of Engineering with experience at Google and Amazon; and Treasurer Jayaradha Natarajan, Sr. Architect with roles at Shell and HP.
Community Impact: The founding members have successfully run the Data Riders meetup group with over 5,000 members for eight years, helping many individuals enter the fields of Big Data, Data Science, and Generative AI. Their new consortium is expected to attract more talent and drive significant advancements in AI.
